PROBLEM SPACE
The majority of U.S. renters still pay rent via check. This leads to unnecessary waste, an uncertainty of whether rent will be paid and fees for late or bounced checks.
Many independent landlords use multiple bank accounts and financial planning tools but miss out on earning interest from security deposits.
DEFINING THE MAGIC MOMENT
Every product or service has a primary goal for it’s customer or a key objective motivated by a core business case. I call this “The Magic Moment”. For Zibo, this was the point at which a customer has opened a bank account, added a tenant lease and collects their first payment in the app. The goal of design was to pave a friction-less path toward this inflection point.
